Immokalee Pioneer Museum hosts local Wildlife photography exhibit

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     THE Wildlife photography exhibit will be sponsored by the Hendry Foundation, a conservation organization involved in wildlife habitat preservation in southwest Florida the exhibit features the works of photographers: Bobby Holland, Richard Tillis, and Karen Hendry.

The exhibit will be on display from December 7, 2009 to January 29, 2010.

 The Hendry Foundation was founded by the fifth generation descendants of pioneer, Francis Asbury Hendry. Captain F.A. Hendry was a civil was veteran, a Lee County commissioner, and later served in the Florida Ligislature. He also was a founder of the town of Labelle, and Hendry County. The Hendry Foundation's mission includes natural areas preservation as well as water quality projects an in addition, to providing scholarships for deserving students entering related fields of study.

 

The exhibit will be on display in Visitors Center at the Immokalee Pioneer Museum at the Roberts Ranch, 1215 Roberts Avenue, Immokalee, FL 34143. Pioneer Museum hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free however donations are gladly accepted.
